I have to say I’m pretty keen on this couple. It was obvious from our first meeting over a beer, that I wanted to shoot their wedding. Dylan was master planner while Lauren was pretty excited to take a backseat role. Whatever they did, it worked. Their day was fun, fun, fun, warm and bright and sunny and just all round perfect.
They enlisted the help of their lovely friends, and my studio buddies, EMKHO and booked a venue that you just cant go wrong with, Carrick Hill. Their were mini buses, beer, fake fights with bouquets, pink chevron walls, lots of awkward PDA’s and most of all huge laughs, which is really what these guys are all about. This is just a snippet of their wedding to give you some idea of just how bloody wonderful their day was.
So here’s the second part of Rachel and Michael’s amazing wedding at The White House in Hahndorf. So many amazing vendors involved in this wedding and two very, very special people, Michael and Rachel, you are the bomb. xx
(Get a cup of tea or a glass of vino. It’s a bit of a long one. )

I remember the first time that I met Kate. She was just so lovely. She had come to our first chat alone as Jim was working. She was a nurse like me, so we had common ground there, we chatted and it was so easy. I loved hearing the story of how she met Jim and that the thing she first noticed about him was his bum! He a Dr and she a nurse, it maybe clichéd but gosh in this case it worked!! She was sweet and gentle and just had this light that shone through her. I thought the man she was marrying must be pretty delighted that she had said yes. I had my fingers and toes and everything else crossed that they would choose me to shoot their wedding.
I first met Jim at their E shoot. I could see why Jim had been the object of her affection. He was charming, spunky and funny. He just kept looking at her with this oozy eyeball love and it was obvious they were made to be. I was soooo excited to shoot their wedding- yay me!!
And so now the day has come and gone and I was there to capture all of it. The wedding has been featured in the January edition of Brides Of Adelaide Magazine which I am so excited about. Kate and Jim are pretty excited too and know it will be a momento to keep and show the grandkiddies.
So maybe enough babbling from me…..here is the wedding of Kate and Jim. Enjoy. xx
It is about time I blogged this wedding. I was sitting on it for some time as I was waiting for it to come out in White Magazine , YAY! ( Issue Twenty One , pgs 136 – 141 ). I loved it. It was such a great day. I met with Amelia and Braydon a day or two before and it had been raining and windy. We did not have high hopes of any wonderful weather, but somehow we got it. It was a perfect, perfect day.
It was a beautiful wedding for many reasons, the location wasn’t half bad. Umm, ok, it was pretty awesome. Check out http://kingsfordhomestead.com.au/. Amazing! The dresses were stunning the girls looked amazing, as did the boys. There was love, fun, tears and laughter. The flowers were amazing, the food was yum. It was all perfect because of the time and effort that Amelia and Braydon put into their day. But one thing they never had to plan was how they would feel.Their love just shone through. Braydon could not take his eyes off his new bride. It was obvious he was, and will forever be, smitten.
Thankyou so much for asking me to play such an important role in your wedding day. I will be forever thinking of you and wishing you much love, joy and true adventures in your lives together.

I dont really know where to start leading into this blog post. So much swirls around in my mind when I think of it, how frantic it was with three bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, 7 flower girls and 2 page boys…mmm, frantic! It was busy, it was epic, it was gorgeous and it was soooooo ridiculously fun. I have to be honest and say this was probably the funnest (I know technically not a word, but I’m still using it ) wedding I have shot. The MC was hilarious, the speeches provoked uproars of laughter, the food was beyond words delicious (really, REALLY, yum!!) It was amazing!!!
Toni and Dave are from Melb but due to family ties at the amazing Hentley Farm, this is where they wanted to say their I do’s. They got ready at the lovely Novotel with all the special people who had flown over to share their day. Then they all bussed to the location whilst listening to a hilarious ‘tour guide Toni’s’ version of how the evening should unfold, including what one should do just in case the groom should decide to escape.
I will let the images show the laughter of the day including an epic series of photos (I have only included one) of the groom almost having the knuckle broken on his fniger attemping to get his ring put on! and one very epic first kiss.
Thanks Toni and Dave. What a blast. xx
